Its 691 models and 58 providers form the baseline; from the next edition on, this section lists what is new. ## Editorial commentary In the first month with continuous price tracking, 29 of 58 providers offer at least one model with EU processing; together they cover 215 of the 691 models. Across all offers, price cuts outnumber increases (99 cheaper, 45 more expensive); for offers with EU processing, increases outnumber cuts (20 more expensive, 15 cheaper). As this is the first edition, it shows a baseline – whether a trend emerges will only become clear in comparison with the coming months. ## Method The report covers models priced per 1M tokens or per image, as in the price tables; GPU rental and prices per hour, second or request are left out. EU processing is the provider's statement for the individual offer. If it is missing, the provider's jurisdiction decides: EU or EEA counts as EU processing, anything else does not. A model or provider counts as soon as it has at least one such offer. These are provider statements, not a legal assessment. Only a price per 1M tokens or per image that our crawler read on the provider's pricing page counts as a price change: per offer, the price at the start of the month (or when first captured during the month) against the price at the end of the month, in the provider's currency.
